Privacy policy

The short version: your pictures stay on your own device, nothing about you is recorded on our servers, and we never collect, track or sell any user data. Not now, not later, not to anyone.

Our promise

Three things you can rely on

Your pictures stay on your device

Resizing, cropping, rotating and saving run inside your browser. A photo is uploaded only when your browser cannot open its format, and even then it passes through our server in memory for a fraction of a second and is discarded — never written to disk.

Nothing about you is recorded

No account, no profile, no history of what you resized. We keep no record of who you are or which pictures you worked on.

No collection, no tracking, no selling

No analytics, no advertising trackers, no third-party scripts or fonts loaded from other domains. We do not collect, share or sell any user data — to anyone, ever.

What we process

Almost nothing — and only for as long as a conversion takes.

ResizePictures is a tool, not a service that keeps your files. When you open a JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP or AVIF picture, it is read and resized entirely by your own browser; our server never sees it.

Only formats a browser cannot open on its own — HEIC / HEIF (iPhone photos), TIFF, PSD and SVG — are sent to our server, converted in memory to a normal image, returned to you and discarded in the same instant. We never write uploaded images to disk, never keep copies, and never look at their content beyond what the conversion requires. There is no upload history and no way for us to retrieve an image after it has been returned to you.

Where your data actually lives

Your browser, not our server. The picture you are working on exists only in your browser's memory while the page is open. If you choose a photo on the home page, it is handed to the resizer page through your browser's own local storage (IndexedDB) and removed from there immediately; nothing is sent to us.
Two functional cookies, nothing else. resizepictures_session keeps the language of your current visit and expires after an hour of inactivity; resizepictures_lang is written only if you pick a language from the “Switch language” dialog and remembers that choice for a year. Neither contains personal data or is used to identify or track you.
Nothing else. We hold no database of users, images, uploads or activity. Like any web server, ours writes a routine technical access log (IP address, URL, time, browser type) that is used only to keep the service running, is rotated automatically and is never analysed for profiling — and image data never appears in it.

What we do not do

No collecting. No user accounts, no registration, no e-mail addresses, no forms that ask who you are.
No tracking. No advertising or analytics trackers, no fingerprinting, no third-party scripts or fonts loaded from other domains — the only server this site talks to is our own.
No selling or sharing. We do not sell, rent, trade or hand over any user data to anyone. There is nothing to hand over.
No changes to your files. The resized copy is saved as a new file in your Downloads folder; the original on your device is never modified.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export, correct or delete on request — your pictures and your settings are already in your own hands, on your own device. If you have a question about any of this, e-mail [email protected].
